Juventus and Manchester United Target Hjulmand as Sporting Demand €80M Release Clause

Juventus and Manchester United are interested in Hjulmand, with Sporting CP setting a price of €80 million, with a loyalty bonus being a key factor.

According to Portuguese media reports, both Juventus and Manchester United have expressed strong interest in Sporting CP's rising midfielder Morten Hjulmand. However, Sporting CP is in no rush to release him and has set a high price of €80 million for the Danish international.

Since joining Sporting CP from Lecce in the summer of 2023, Hjulmand has rapidly established himself as a key figure in the team's midfield. His outstanding physicality, strong intercepting ability, and consistent passing have attracted interest from several top European clubs.

Juventus is seeking to strengthen its midfield by adding a player who can both playmaking and provide defensive stability. Manchester United is also evaluating its summer transfer window and, with Casemiro's fluctuating form and the uncertain futures of McTominay and Eriksen, Hjulmand is seen as a promising investment.

However, Sporting CP's stance on this key player is clear: they will not release him easily. The club is insisting on an €80 million buyout clause, and reportedly will also offer a loyalty bonus if Jurmand decides to stay.

This loyalty bonus has become a key factor in transfer negotiations: it not only serves as a means for Sporting CP to retain the player, but it could also influence the player's decision. If he believes that staying with Sporting CP will benefit his career and yield a substantial return, he might postpone his move to a major league.

From the current situation, Juventus and Manchester United will have to contend with a high transfer fee and Sporting CP's tough negotiating stance if they hope to successfully acquire Jurmand. The player's own attitude will also be a decisive factor.
